What is the Institution?
The local government of Manacor, conscious of the valor of Antoni Maria Alcover and Sureda and his life's work, agreed to create a Public Institution with his name like a tribute for his contribution to our language, culture, nation and values, to show of his memories and to incentive the scientific -philological study of Alcover.
Which aims to achieve?
The principal objectives of the Public Institution are: on the one hand, the preservation and the scientific use of the Antoni Alcover's legacy and; on the other hand, the study, research and promotion of the folklore and oral heritage of Mallorca.
